May 2021 overview: In 2001, New Jersey instituted a Graduated Driver License Program to help ensure better driver safety. No matter your age, if you’re applying for your first driver’s license, you must first start with a restricted permit. If you’re between 16 and 17, you can get a special learner permit if you’re enrolled in a driver-training course and pass the MVC written test. If you’re over 17, you can skip the driving school but will still need to pass a written knowledge exam. The knowledge test will be comprised of 50 multiple-choice questions sourced from the 2021 New Jersey Driver’s Manual. A score of 80% or higher will be needed to pass and get your permit. Once you have passed your written exam and have your permit, you’ll be required to display two decals on your vehicle: one each on your front, and back license plates. There is no fee to take the exam, but there is a $10 charge for either type of permit and an additional $4 for the decals.

Perfect for: drivers permit test (learner’s permit), driver’s license, senior citizens’ refresher test, and driver’s license renewal.

If you only study the official manual, your chances of passing the written knowledge test are only about 49 percent. The guide they give you at the DMV isn’t written to promote rapid learning. No matter how smart you are, it has a way to make you feel dumb: there are way too many things to remember all at once. How do you even know what you'll be tested on?

Use our free Louisiana practice driving test to gauge how much you have learned from your driver’s education course! As our Louisiana drivers ed practice test covers rules of the road, road signs and every other driver’s theory topic that will be addressed during the general knowledge driving test, applicants can use it to get a preview of the challenge ahead. Unlike most poorly built revision tools on the internet, this high-quality quiz contains nothing but genuine Louisiana driving test questions and answers from the OMV database. As our Louisiana DMV practice test for 2021 permit applicants costs nothing to use, you can factor it into your learning plan at any point. It does not matter if you have not yet enrolled on a drivers ed course, our quiz can still be used to get a head start on your studies.

The real driving test in Louisiana will contain 40 questions and require 32 correct permit test answers. This Louisiana drivers license practice test is shorter – and with good reason! A full-length test can take upwards of 15 minutes to complete but this bite-sized introduction to permit test topics will only take around five to seven minutes to work through. Despite being shorter, our practice driving test for Louisiana learners uses the same 80% minimum threshold for a pass as the real drivers test. As the quiz contains just 20 questions, it requires just 16 correct answers. This is still a challenging threshold to hit, but fortunately the Louisiana driving test practice quiz includes free study aids to help you out.

Applicants sitting the real Louisiana drivers license test will not have access to support features or be allowed to look up answers in their driving test study guides. Here, you can ask for help at any point by clicking on one of the two lifelines beside the question you are currently considering. ‘Hint’ will bring up a clue about the correct multiple-choice answer when activated; as the name suggests, ‘50/50’ can be used to rule out 50% of the incorrect answers on the page. Both tools are available for unlimited use throughout the Louisiana driving test practice quiz. Relying on the support features makes it so easy to answer questions correctly that even novice driving students get quite close to a passing grade during their first attempt.
