1993, G19 Upgrade Glock Model 19, 9mm Luger caliber, requires an upgrade for all pistols. These pistols have the potential for an UNINTENTIONAL DISCHARGE of a cartridge with the action open. The Glock model 19 pistol slide has a bottom protrusion, whose function is to push cartridges from the top of the magazine into the chamber. When the pistol is jammed in a double feed situation, the slide protrusion can come in contact with the primer of the jammed cartridge and cause UNINTENTIONAL DISCHARGE while the action is open. 2000, G26/27 Recoil spring upgrade Glock Model 26, 9mm caliber, serial numbers DGU, DHR DKU. According to, I may be reading the info incorrectly on the site, but if a Glock has an s/n EGN xxxusa, doesn't 'E' indicate month January, 'G' indicate month July and 'N' indicate month March? According to the chart, a March '02 would be marked 'NOKxxxusa'. Am I confused here? If this is merely the month and year numbering conventions reserved for older pistols, can someone please point me to a current numbering convention where I can identify the year manufactured of the pistols I am researching? Thanks all in advance, rad.

Glock 43 Serial Number Lookup

Need some Glock expert input. Planning on trading tomorrow with a gent for a G36. I'm finding what I find to be less-than-definitive info out there that the gun may have been under recall at some point but I'm not clear on it. Is there a good online reference for serial numbers to get recall, born date, etc. Thought I'd call Glock tomorrow with the serial number (figure they'll tell me anything I need to know?), but they're closed now so thought the resident Glock brain trust would have the answers so I could find out sooner.

The Firearms Services Section, Law Enforcement Support Branch, will search the records maintained at the National Tracing Center (NTC) from out of business Federal Firearms Licensees (FFLs) pursuant to a request from ATF or other accredited law enforcement agency as part of a bona fide criminal investigation. Law enforcement regularly makes such requests to obtain the serial number of a firearm that was stolen from an individual.

Private Citizens: A private citizen needing to obtain the serial number of a stolen firearm purchased from an FFL which has since discontinued business will need to contact local law enforcement and request that the agency submit a Record Search Request. The NTC can only provide firearms records to law enforcement personnel, not to the general public.

Law Enforcement: Requests can be submitted via email or fax. Email requests should be sent to RecordsSearchRequest@atf.gov and must be submitted from an official law enforcement agency email address and include the name and title of the person submitting the request. Fax requests should be submitted on official law enforcement agency letterhead and include the name and title of the person submitting the request. Fax requests to 1-800-578-7223 Attention: RSR Program.

All requests require the following information:

1. The purpose for the request.

2. Investigation/case number if requested by law enforcement other than ATF.

3. Purchaser’s name and date of birth.
